At ASCARO, sustainability begins with a simple belief: the future of sport should be better for people, cities and the planet.

We do not see sustainability as a separate initiative. We see it as part of how a club is located, designed, built, operated and experienced. The journey you take to get there. The space it gives new purpose to. The materials you touch. The products you wear. The feeling you leave with.

ASCARO was born from a Scandinavian point of view: restraint, responsibility and respect for resources. For us, Scandinavian design is not only an aesthetic. It is a way of thinking — purposeful, resource-conscious and built around people.

Modern urban development

For ASCARO, sustainability is also about using the spaces cities already have more intelligently.

Many sports venues are built where space is cheap, often far from where people live, work and move. ASCARO was created with a different ambition.

By placing padel in central urban locations — often on existing rooftops and underused spaces above the city — we aim to make the sport part of daily life rather than a destination that requires a car.

This approach gives new purpose to spaces that already exist, reduces the need for new land use and brings sport, wellness and social life closer to where people already are.

A better location is not only more desirable. It can also be more responsible.

Outdoor by design

Padel was born outdoors. At ASCARO, we believe that matters.

Our rooftop and outdoor concepts are designed around air, light and the rhythm of the city. Where climate and operations allow, we favour open-air environments over enclosed, climate-controlled sports halls.

That does not only create a more memorable experience. It can also reduce dependence on artificial indoor conditions such as constant lighting, ventilation and air conditioning.

Outdoor sport feels different. More natural. More social. More alive.

That feeling is part of ASCARO.

ASCARO’s aesthetic has always been deliberate: black, minimal, precise and timeless.

For us, Scandinavian design is not only about how something looks. It is about making fewer, better choices. Clean lines. Durable materials. Details that age well. Spaces and products designed to remain relevant beyond a single season.

The most sustainable item is often the one you keep using.

The same is true of a club.

From the beginning, we made responsible choices where possible: FSC-certified paper for hang tags and boxes, recycled materials for plastic bags and labels, and a commitment to keep improving as we grow.

As ASCARO expands, our ambition is to increase the use of recycled, certified and lower-impact materials across apparel, packaging and club operations.

We are not interested in empty claims.

We are interested in progress that can be seen, felt and improved over time.
